The Anatomy of RESET/01
Five steps, specified in order. What each one is for, why it is that format, and what it hands to the next.
RESET/01 is a sequence, not a shelf. It was specified as one brief split across five components, and each component was designed knowing what came before it and what follows.
That is worth explaining, because the alternative — a range that expands until it fills a category — is how most product lines actually get built.
The brief
One requirement: support hydration, comfort and the skin barrier, in a way that works alongside a modern active routine rather than instead of it.
That produced three constraints. Every step had to be compatible with acids and retinoids used elsewhere in the routine. Every step had to be comfortable enough for daily use on skin that is already reactive. And no step could depend on the others being present, because people do not buy five products at once.
Ectoin is in all five. What changes is what it is asked to work with.
01 MILK — Recovery Milk Essence
50 ml. Milky essence. PDRN + Ectoin + Beta-Glucan.
The first layer, applied to skin that is still damp from cleansing. That timing is the point: hydrating actives go on when there is water present to hold.
The format is a milk rather than a watery essence or a gel. A micro-emulsion carries a small amount of lipid alongside the water phase, which means it delivers hydration and immediately begins to slow its escape. It reads as a silky white milk on application and settles to a light, watery finish — MILK → WATER → GLOW.
Beta-Glucan works on the surface, forming a light hydrated film. Ectoin works within the water phase. PDRN sits alongside them in the recovery brief.
What it hands to the next step: hydrated skin, and a surface that is receptive rather than sealed.
02 MIST — Recovery Mist
80 ml. Transparent liquid. Ectoin + Beta-Glucan + Panthenol.
The step that exists because the day is long. Air conditioning, aircraft cabins, winter heating, an afternoon in front of a window — the environment removes water continuously, and a morning routine cannot be expected to cover twelve hours of it.
Completely transparent, no glitter, no shimmer, no decorative particles. A micro-fine mist, because a mist that arrives in droplets sits on the surface and evaporates from it rather than wetting evenly.
Panthenol is here rather than in 01 because this is the step most likely to be used on already-uncomfortable skin, mid-day, over makeup.
What it hands to the next step: a re-wetted surface, repeatedly, without disturbing anything.
03 NIGHT — Barrier Recovery Cream
50 ml. Dense melting cream. Ectoin + Ceramide/Lipid Complex + Panthenol.
The lipid step, and the one doing the structural work. Hydration without lipids is temporary; the ceramide and lipid complex is what keeps the water the first two steps delivered.
Ivory, soft, dense but not greasy — a cream that has body in the jar and disappears on skin. That behaviour is a formulation decision, not a texture preference: a cream that sits on the surface is a cream people stop using.
Applied last at night, over whatever else the routine includes.
What it hands to the morning: a barrier that spent the night with the conditions to recover.
04 MASK — Intensive Recovery Mask
Single mask. PDRN + Ectoin + Beta-Glucan.
The intensive step, for the week when it has gone properly wrong. Not a weekly ritual — an intervention.
A mask is an occlusive delivery format. It holds actives against the skin for a fixed period with nothing evaporating, which is a genuinely different exposure from a leave-on product. We are specifying the substrate with our manufacturing partner and will publish exactly what it is when that is contractual, rather than naming a premium material we have not yet signed for.
05 LIP — Tinted Peptide Lip Treatment
Solid stick. PEPTIDES + ECTOIN.
The step everybody skips. Lip skin is thin, has almost no barrier lipids of its own, and is exposed to more water loss than any other part of the face — and the standard response is a wax balm that does nothing but sit there.
A real lipstick-style solid stick mechanism, not a doe-foot applicator. It looks like a lipstick, melts like a treatment balm, and leaves sheer buildable colour in Nude Rose, Berry or Cocoa. Peptides and Ectoin are the reason it exists; the colour is the reason it gets used daily.
No SPF claim appears on this product. If the final manufactured formula passes the appropriate testing and the claim is legally validated, we will publish it then.
Why five
Because five is the number of jobs. Hydrate, maintain through the day, seal overnight, intervene when needed, and cover the place that gets forgotten.
Anything beyond that would be range extension. Anything fewer would leave a gap in the sequence.
